Start your tour by visiting the iconic windmills and traditional Dutch houses at Zaanse Schans, located just outside Amsterdam. Explore the historic windmills, cheese farms, and clog workshops for a unique Dutch experience. Walking around Zaanse Schans is free. To enter the windmills and museums at Zaanse Schans, you will need a ticket (not included). Note that these windmills and museums close at 5pm.
Volendam
Or if you choose to visit Volendam, continue your journey to this picturesque fishing village. Walk around the scenic harbor, enjoy fresh seafood, and take in the charming streets lined with traditional Dutch houses.
