Itinerary

The Venerable Thich Quang Duc Monument

Our first stop is the Thich Quang Duc Memorial Monument in District 3, a poignant site dedicated to Thich Quang Duc. This is where he self-immolated in 1963, protesting the persecution of Buddhism by the South Vietnamese government. The monument honors his sacrifice and serves as a powerful reminder of his commitment to religious freedom. The serene setting invites reflection and provides a meaningful glimpse into Vietnam's complex history.
