Imjingak Pyeonghoa-Nuri Park

This park was created to allow people to experience both the tensions and hopes for peace in Korea while gaining insight into its history and future. It is also a potential site for an international peace park. You can see the Freedom Bridge, the Monument of Soldiers, the Peace Bell, the Mangbaedan monument, and an old steam locomotive that vividly illustrates the devastating tragedy of the Korean War.

The Third Tunnel

[Visit on Tuesday ~ Sunday] This tunnel, located 52 kilometers from Seoul in a straight line, was discovered in 1978. It was built for the purpose of invading the South Korea. Measuring 1,635 meters in length, 2 meters in height, and 2 meters in width, it has the capacity to move an entire division per hour. Interestingly, when the tunnel was discovered, North Korea claimed that the South Korea had built it for a surprise attack. However, the evidence strongly suggests otherwise.
