The Salt Mine is located very close to Cracow in the nearby city of Wieliczka. The story of salt in this place has begun almost 5000 years ago. However, the mine started to grow deeper since the end of the 12 century. Its nine levels go down to 327 meters (357 yards) and the total length of corridors exceeds 3 km (1.86 miles). Salt Mine Wieliczka was listed on the first UNESCO World Heritage List. Wieliczka Salt Mine is one of the largest and oldest salt mines in the world. A guide shows you the way through a maze of tunnels, chambers, and stairways built over eight centuries.

The temperature in a mine is 16-17 C (60-63 F) please consider that when choosing your clothing. Wear comfortable shoes. The route is 3,5km (2.2 miles) long and there will be 800 steps – most of them down. We can start a trip any time you want. Guides are speaking; English, Polish, German, Italian, French, Spanish, and Russian. After the whole event, you can decide where you want to be dropped off.

The driver will pick you up from prearranged place (hotel, apartment, etc.) to Salt Mine in Wieliczka. Travel in a comfortable and spacious car will take approximately 30-40 minutes. At the destination, our driver will show you the entrance to Salt Mine and will support you until the guided tour will start. The driver will be waiting for you after the trip to take you to any place in the area of Krakow.
