Aboard Tortuga, an authentic wooden bragozzo chioggiotto built in 1951 and lovingly restored, you will live a relaxing and off-the-beaten-track experience. You will sail in the company of a skipper and an experienced local assistant, ready to tell you stories, curiosities and traditions of these extraordinary places. The first stop is Murano, with its historic furnaces and master glassmakers who transform fire into art. Then Burano, famous for its brightly colored houses, craft lace and atmosphere suspended in time. Finally Torcello, the oldest island, surrounded by silence and nature, where you can visit the Basilica of Santa Maria Assunta with its extraordinary Byzantine mosaics. Discover the island of Murano, famous all over the world for its ancient glass tradition. We will visit a historic furnace where master glassmakers still work blown glass as in the Renaissance.
You will walk among the colorful houses, visit the lace shops and have time to take pictures, shop or taste the bussolai, the typical biscuits of the island. For those who wish, you can have lunch in one of the local restaurants, where you can taste typical local dishes.
You will discover the ancient Basilica with Byzantine mosaics, the suggestive Throne of Attila and the natural salt flats. you can walk between nature and history in an atmosphere of quiet. Possibility to stop at one of the typical restaurants, such as the historic Locanda Cipriani.
