Access to the Catacombs of Shawqafa is through a spiral staircase around an open central well with approximately 100 wide steps. Due to the musty and humid conditions in the catacombs, guests suffering from asthma and/or claustrophobia may experience discomfort on this tour and should take this into consideration. Tour sequence may be altered to avoid congestion but always covering the mentioned sites.
