At 13:15 pm you will be picked up from your hotel in Cuzco, beginning our visit in the exquisite Temple of the Sun of Qoricancha (today the church of Santo Domingo), considered in times of the Incas the most important religious place in the empire; if Cuzco was the navel of the world, Qoricancha was the center of that navel. Later we will be in the Cathedral, a Spanish construction today symbol of Hispanic domination. The interior furniture shows a mix of Spanish and local art. Later we will be in the Temple of the Sun of Saqsayhuaman, place to which the Spanish called the fortress and the Inca sites of Tambomachay and Qenqo. We will finish our tour in a craft workshop to recognize the wool of various auquénidos del Ande with purchase possibilities.

Visit Qoricancha or Temple of the Sun of the Incas, this temple has thin walls that express the great level of engineering that the Incas achieved, these walls were built from large blocks of solid rock, which fit perfectly without any type of mortar . The large curved western wall stands out especially for its shape and elegant regular masonry. Most of the walls were built slightly inclined inwards, a typical feature of Inca architecture. It has trapezoidal access doors and windows that allow light to enter.
The Cathedral and its rich colonial repository of Spanish and indigenous hands worth admiring
Visit the formidable Saqsayhuaman Fortress, located above the city of Cusco, forming the head of the Puma, which is the way the city had to say of Juan de Betanzos and Inca Garcilaso de la Vega at the time of the Conquest. The Sacsayhuaman Fortress was the scene of religious ceremonies where the Incas worshiped the sun. Tens of thousands of people are believed to have mobilized at special festivals and made offerings and certain types of pilgrimages. In Sacsayhuamán, the annual Inti Raymi festival is held on June 24 at the winter solstice, where the Inca ritual of worshiping the sun god or inti is staged. Local people mobilize in colorful costumes and dance typical dances, thus repeating the tradition of their ancestors. Visitors from all over the world come to this festival.
