Tirta Empul Temple
Our licensed Balinese guide will meet you at the official ticket booth of Tirta Empul Temple, wearing traditional Balinese attire. You’ll begin with a guided temple tour through the three main sections of the temple: the outer courtyard (Jaba Pisan), the middle courtyard (Jaba Tengah), and the inner main temple (Jeroan). In the outer courtyard, you'll learn about the temple’s history and layout. In the middle courtyard, you’ll find the sacred purification pools. Here, your guide will explain the meaning and steps of the water cleansing ritual known as "melukat", which you’ll perform by bathing in three different pools. Each pool has symbolic significance, and you’ll follow a respectful process of cleansing both body and mind. Finally, the experience ends with a prayer ceremony in the inner sanctum, where a local temple priest (pemangku) will lead the offering and blessing ritual, completing your spiritual journey at Tirta Empul.
