Wat Krom Temple
Visit Wat Krom Pagoda & Independence monument : is commonly known as “Lower Wat”. It is on the edge of town, beautifully landscaped, and offers wonderful views across Sihanouk Ville. Wat Krom is a quiet place for the monks to pray and maintain the Buddhist tradition that has long been the Cambodia way of life. Independence Monument: (Vimean Ekareach) was constructed in 1985 to mark Cambodia’s Independence form foreign rule as well as commemorating the war dead. It is situated in a small park on Ekareach Street (meaning Independence Street). The adjacent shrine is also used as a meeting hall for religious festivals.
