Hold on tight from the moment you depart the jetty, as you spend 25 adrenaline-inducing minutes blasting down Queenstown's famous Shotover River. Watch as your driver skillfully navigates between boulders and through narrow canyons, which have been carved out through powerful flows of water from the Southern Alps. Prepare for 360 degree turns on the river and speeds of up to 90kph! As the only company operating on the Shotover River, you'll feel truly immersed in the wild as your group zooms along this pristine piece of nature.
By car: The Shotover Jet River Base is an easy 7km drive from central Queenstown. Drive up Shotover Street (with Lake Wakatipu behind you) and onto Gorge Road. Travel along Gorge Road towards Arthurs Point and Coronet Peak. Carry on until you come to a large one lane bridge ‘Edith Cavell Bridge’, cross this and the Shotover Jet entry is immediately on your left after you’ve crossed the bridge
