We will take a look at the ancient Woodhenge on route to Stonehenge and discover it's connection to the stone circle.
Your driver guide will give you a guided tour of Stonehenge. They will take you through the visitor centre first where you will find all the information you need about Stonehenge. When we leave the visitor centrewe will have a look around the recreated houses showing you how the builders of this monument lived. We will then take the shuttle bus down to the Stonehenge where your driver guide will tell you more about this facinating stone circle.
No trip to Windsor could possibly be complete without a visit to Windsor Castle, the family home to British kings and queens for almost 1,000 years. Windsor is said to be the favourite weekend retreat of the King. Windsor Castle is the oldest and largest occupied castle in the world. This part of the tour is self guided as there are restictions on guiding in Windsor Castle however your ticket includes an excelent audio guide by King Charles. Visit the state opulent rooms and see the royal chapel where Harry and Megan were married. One thing not to miss is Queen Anne's dolls house with working plumbing and electricity. There is also a changing of the guard ceremony at Windsor (subject to schedule) that is more accessible to the public than the ceremony at Buckingham Palace. Please note: The chapel at Windsor is closed on Sundays and the castle is closed every Tuesday and Wednesday.
