Valley of the Kings
As you commence your journey, you will traverse the mighty Nile River towards the West Bank in order to explore the fascinating necropolis of the ancient city of Thebes. Your first stop will be the Valley of the Kings, which served as the final resting place for the illustrious kings of Thebes (also known as ancient Luxor). Among the most renowned tombs in the valley are those of King Tutmosis I, Tutmosis III, Tut-Ankh-Amon, King Ramssess VI, King Mrenptah and Amonhotep II.
Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari
After marveling at the Temple of Hatshepsut, a remarkable structure considered one of Egypt's most striking monuments, you will be safely transported back to your hotel. This temple is particularly noteworthy as it was commissioned by the renowned female pharaoh who ruled Egypt for two decades while masquerading as a male to ascend to the throne. Later on, your tour will proceed to the Colossi of Memnon, where you can witness the towering statues in all their grandeur. Following this, you will stop for a light lunch of falafel sandwiches or koshary before being safely transported back to your hotel.
