Itinerary

Memorial de Caen

Leave Paris at 7:00 am in an air-conditioned premium vehicle for an exceptional day in Normandy. Relax and admire the beautiful scenery of the French countryside before arriving at the Caen Memorial Museum around 10:15 AM. This memorial, also known as the Peace Museum, was erected to explain the different phases of the Second World War, in particular those of the Battle of Normandy and the advance of the Allies on French territory. During your visit, discover many everyday objects dating from the occupation, maps, miniature military vehicles as well as film screenings recreating the atmosphere of the D-Day landings and the Battle of Normandy. Enjoy a lunch (not included) at the Memorial de Caen restaurant.

Admission Ticket Included

Pointe Du Hoc Memorial

In the afternoon, continue the visit to iconic sites that played a key role during the D-Day landings. Make your first stop at Pointe du Hoc, overlooking a cliff several tens of meters high and located between Utah Beach and Omaha Beach. Assaulted by American Rangers on June 6, it was a strategic fortified site for the Germans along the Normandy coast, and was equipped with heavy artillery at the time.

Cimetiere Americain de Colleville-sur-Mer

Visit the famous American cemetery in Saint-Laurent, located just above Omaha Beach and very close to Colleville-sur-Mer. Observe these 70 hectares where there are 9,387 white tombstones, perfectly aligned with the grass, a memorial, a chapel and the Garden of the Missing. This site pays tribute to the American soldiers who died during the Battle of Normandy. Go down to Omaha Beach by a small path and take the opportunity to walk on the sand. Take an hour to explore the area.
