Inside the museum's expansive galleries, you'll explore over 100,000 artifacts, many of which are being displayed for the first time ever.

Giza pyramids

After exploring the Grand Egyptian Museum, your journey continues to the legendary Giza Plateau, home to Egypt’s most iconic monuments. Stand before the awe-inspiring Great Pyramid of Khufu, the oldest and largest of the three pyramids — built over 4,500 years ago. Your expert Egyptologist guide will explain the engineering marvels, ancient burial rituals, and theories behind how these massive structures were built with such precision. You’ll also visit the neighboring Pyramids of Khafre and Menkaure, each with its own fascinating history and unique architectural features. You’ll have the option to enter one of the pyramids (ticket not included), take photos from panoramic viewpoints, and even enjoy a short camel ride in the desert with the pyramids as your backdrop, if you wish. Next, walk down to meet the mysterious Great Sphinx, carved from a single limestone block. With the body of a lion and the face of a king, the Sphinx has guarded the plateau for millennia.

Great Pyramid of Cheops (Khufu)
