Enjoy a walking tour of Dadaocheng, one of Taipei’s oldest neighborhoods. Developed to support Taiwan’s thriving tea trade business in the 19th century, the area is steeped in history. Explore the narrow streets filled with boutiques, textiles, coffee shops, and cafes. You’ll also visit Longshan Temple, one of the oldest and most iconic temples in the city, offering a glimpse into Taiwanese spiritual life through its exquisite Buddhist and Taoist styles decor.
At the designated time, we’ll meet up with our guide at Exit 1 (outside) of the MRT Longshan Temple subway stop. Our first destination is the Longshan Temple, one of the oldest and most iconic temples in the city, offering a glimpse into Taiwanese spiritual life through its exquisite Buddhist and Taoist styles decor.
After visiting the temple we'll take Taipei's MRT for a short ride to Taipei's North Gate. Beimen is a historic landmark built in 1884 during the Qing Dynasty. It’s the only surviving gate from Taipei’s original city walls that retains its authentic look.
From Beimen North Gate we'll walk to the entrance of the historical Dadaocheng, one of the oldest neighborhoods in Taipei.
