Pyramids of Giza
The 3 famous pyramids of Giza are the last surviving wonder of the ancient world. They were about 2600 BC. Built on a large limestone plateau. The Pyramid of Cheops is the oldest and largest of the three pyramids and is therefore also known as the “Great Pyramid”. It is the highest pyramid in the world, 147 m high and was built as a tomb for the Egyptian king Cheops.
