What makes us uniquely qualified to host this experience is the combination of my passion and enthusiasm for Portuguese gastronomy with Bruno's extensive training and experience in the world of wine.
Although my academic background is in Digital Design, since 2015 I have been sharing authentic gastronomic experiences, bringing to the table not only traditional flavours, but also stories and connections that make each meal special. Bruno, on the other hand, is a WSET (Wine & Spirits Education Trust) graduate with the highest sommelier qualification in Portugal. He has a solid background and has been deepening his knowledge of wine for over three years.
Together, we have created a unique experience, where we explore the harmony between wines and typical Portuguese snacks, in a cosy, family atmosphere, overlooking the Jamor river valley. Here, every sip and fork tells a story that you wouldn't find on your own!
Join us in my century-old family home, a cozy refuge in a picturesque Portuguese village just 20 minutes from Lisbon. Upon arrival, you’ll be welcomed with an aperitif and a brief introduction. We’ll explore the five essential tastes: acid, salt, sweet, bitter, and umami, each paired with a selected wine to showcase perfect combinations. Participation is key! We invite you to engage with questions, share your impressions, and challenge your senses in this immersive experience. After the final pairing, we’ll relax on the terrace for a toast while enjoying stunning valley views. Each guest will receive a small memento to cherish this unique experience. More than just tasting wines and delicacies, this journey offers a sensory and cultural experience in a warm family atmosphere where food and wine tell their stories.
