Oshinohakkai is a group of eight springs fed by subterranean water from Mt. Fuji, filtered by underground lava over decades of melting snow and clear spring water! It has been designated as one of the 100 best waters in Japan.
Known even abroad as one of Japan's most scenic spots, Mt. Arakura is, above all, a wonderful seasonal sight with its five-story pagoda and the mountains of Mt.
Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengen Shrine is the starting point and “main shrine” of the trail for those who climb Mt. Fuji from the north, and is the center of faith on the Yamanashi Prefecture side.
Once you step into the shrine, you will feel a solemn atmosphere as if you have stepped into a different world. Walking among the stone lanterns, you will feel as if your soul is being sharpened.

Oshino Hakkai
Oshinohakkai, located in Oshino Village, Minamitsuru-gun, Yamanashi Prefecture, is a group of eight springs fed by underground water from Mt. Fuji, filtered through underground lava over many decades, the spring water is remarkably clear and free of impurities! The springs have been designated as one of the 100 best waters in Japan.
Arakurayama Sengen Park
Chūreitō is a cenotaph for the war dead, located halfway up Mount Arakurayama in Fujiyoshida City, Yamanashi Prefecture. The area around the Chūreitō is maintained as Arakurayama Sengen Park, which is managed by the city of Fujiyoshida.
Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengen Jinja Shrine
Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengen Shrine stands at the entrance to Fujiyoshida Exit, one of the most popular routes up Mt. Fuji in Japan and abroad due to its solemn atmosphere, and is a popular shrine for climbers to visit before climbing the mountain. The approach to the shrine is lined with thick, tall cedar trees and stone lanterns, creating an atmosphere of mystery.
