Crystal Bay

Near the shore, the waves are swimmable during calmer tides with crystal-clear waters, hence its name. Divers praise the superb visibility, sometimes down to 30 metres. Crystal Bay is a short drive west from the Coco Resort Penida. This is one of the a very few resorts on the island’s western region. Manta Point Snorkeling is so named as it’s one of the main dive sites in Bali where you can spot manta rays. Other sights to see here include occasional sea turtles, reef sharks, and the oceanic sunfish ormola-mola. At around 10 metres within the protected bay, mantas freely roam and feed in the plankton-rich waters while enjoying the symbiotic company of cleaner wrasses who rid their bodies of parasites.
