The bridge as a witness of ancient times

Mostar, the town that lies on the river Neretva, is the economic, cultural, university, transport and tourist center of Herzegovina. The town was built around the old bridge, dating from 1566, near the former suspension bridge. The bridge is the main symbol of Mostar, one could say – its beating heart for centuries.
