This tour focuses exclusively on offering a high-quality guided experience, not including admission to the reserve, giving travelers flexibility to choose between two of Monteverde’s most recognized destinations: the Monteverde Cloud Forest Biological Reserve or the Curi-Cancha Nature Reserve.
Unlike other tours that include transportation or fixed tickets, we specialize in personalized naturalistic interpretation, with local guides, small group attention and an educational approach that deeply connects the visitor to the cloud forest ecosystem.
In addition, we adapt the tour to the interest of the group: bird watching, photography, botany or a quiet family experience. This makes each tour unique, enriching and tailored to the visitor.
During this guided hike through the Monteverde cloud forest, travelers will explore one of the richest ecosystems in biodiversity on the planet, with a naturalist guide. At the beginning of the tour, the group will be at the entrance of the chosen reservation: Monteverde Cloud Forest Biological Reserve or Curi-Cancha Nature Reserve. Over approximately 2 hours, participants will walk along trails surrounded by lush vegetation while learning about: Epiphytic plants, bromeliads, mosses and centuries-old trees. Emblematic birds such as toucans, trogons and the famous quetzal (in season). Insects, mammals and amphibians typical of cloud forest. The delicate ecological balance of this ecosystem. The guide will stop to share curious data, answer questions and facilitate telescope wildlife observation. This tour is perfect for nature lovers, birders and families who want an authentic, educational and peaceful experience. The walk is adapted to the rhythm of the group and is done in small groups to ensure personalized attention.
