Mayan cooking experience and Cenote in Playa del Carmen

Meet your guide at the lobby of your hotel for pick-up. Stop at one of the local bakeries to taste some fresh made “Mexican pan dulce” Visit one of the local corn tortilla factories where your guide will explain about the process of making tortillas and you will take the “masa” to make your own tortillas and tamales on the cooking class. Arrival to the Cenote Park where you will head first to the Mayan kitchen and you will learn how to make tamales, salsas, tortillas, guacamole and “pozol” (a traditional mayan beverage made from cacao and corn) Once we finish assembling our tamales and while we wait for them to cook, we will take you to live an adventure to the fullest in the Caverns within an underground river, immerse yourself in the crystalline and fresh waters of a magical underground Cenote to explore the ancient formations of stalactites and stalagmites. After the Cenote adventure we will return to the kitchen to enjoy the delicious tamal “fruit of our labour” Back to hotel
