You’ll ascend to the island’s third-highest mountain, Pico de Arieiro, which affords stunning island views.
The next stop is Ribeiro Frio, the starting point of a famous levada (irrigation channel) walk, where you’ll marvel at trout pools and learn about the prehistoric forest that covers Madeira.
Following lunch in the colorful town of Santana, you’ll visit more incredible lookout points such as Ponta de São Lourenço, and stop off at Machico before drop-off at your Funchal accommodation.

The first stop is at Terreiro da Luta, a beautiful viewpoint a few kilometres from Funchal.
Pico do Arieiro, at an altitude of 1818 metres it is the third highest peak on the island and affords breathtaking views.
Ribeiro Frio, where you can see its interesting trout farm. This area still has much of its original vegetation.
You can choose to be picked up from a list of locations, or alternatively, have the choice to make your own way to the meeting points
Please arrive at the pick up point 30 minutes before departure time.
We can arrange for pickups at other locations in the Funchal area as long as there's a known reference point and a place where our vehicle can safely stop for some minutes without blocking any roads or traffic. Our staff will contact you with the most accurate time for your pickup. Pickups outside the Funchal area are available (at extra cost). Please contact us for advice on the best pickup for you according to your location/accommodation.
