Jozani Chwaka Bay National Park
Take a scenic walk through the lush, untamed woods, located about an hour's drive from Stone Town. Explore the stunning mangrove boardwalk swamp (a truly impressive sight!), and of course, encounter the Red Colobus monkeys, which are abundant in the Jozani area and found exclusively in Zanzibar. Nature walks through the forest offer an excellent opportunity to experience the island's diverse wildlife.
Jambo Spice Farm
Set off on a tour of Zanzibar's spice plantations to explore the wide variety of exotic spices, herbs, and tropical fruit trees. You'll have the chance to experience the aromas of black pepper vines, cardamom bushes, cinnamon trees, nutmeg trees, clove trees, and vanilla vines, among others. During the tour, you'll be served a cup of spice tea and have the opportunity to try climbing a coconut palm with guidance from the local spice boys! The tour also includes a visit to the Kidichi Persian baths, built for the second wife of the first Arab ruler, Said bin Sultan, who resided at the Mtoni Palace Ruins.
