This small group tour takes you from your ship to Historic Urquhart Castle on Loch Ness side and then to Clava Cairns and Culloden Battlefield before concluding the tour in the Highland Capital Inverness where you will also have lunch. All our guides are local Highlanders and you will be in very good hands as they tell you about the History and folklore of the area. You will have the opportunity to see some Highland Coos and also at lunch in Inverness you can partake in a dram of Uisge Bheatha also known as the water of life. We provide cold bottled water and snacks during the tour although if there are any allergies we will not provide snacks.
Pickup included
Our first stop of the day is at Robertsons farm shop near Beauly where you will see some magnificient Highland Coos. The Black Bull is called Jamie Mackenzie Fraser after the Outlander Hero and his sister is Katie Morag. Both these animals were orphans when Robertsons farm took them in.
Beauly Priory is a 13th century Monastery that was built for an order of Valliscaulian Monks from Dijon in France. The Priory was destroyed by Oliver Cromwells army in the 1600s and some of its stone was taken to build Cromwells citadel in Inverness. Mentioned in the Outlander series it was here that Claire met Maisri The Seer.
Urquhart Castle sits on a headland jutting out in to Loch Ness , this famous old castle was fought over by warring clans , Scotland and England and was deliberately destroyed by the resident family in the 1690s to stop it falling in to the hands of The Jacobites. We stop here for 1 hour.

We pick up all travellers from outside the port gate and we take them back to the port gate 1 hour before their ship sails.
We will be waiting outside the Port gate for you , we will be standing on the other side of the road holding a board with the lead persons name on it.
