Marvel at the grandeur of Helsinki Olympic Stadium as well and get to imagine the thrill of being there during the Finnish 1952 Summer Olympics. Then, at Sibelius Park, see the Sibelius Monument, a thought-provoking abstract sculpture dedicated to the late great composer Jean Sibelius. In the other half of the tour, take a ferry to the world heritage site Suomenlinna. This is a fortress built in the mid-18th century, back when the country was still part of Sweden. Enter its main gateway through the Jetty Barracks, a structure built to fit over 250 soldiers during peacetime. Then, see the Suomenlinna Church and gaze at its classic onion domes!
