Explore the Tasman Glacier with Mount Cook's longest-established mountain guiding company. Our professional mountain guides have been skiing the Tasman Glacier since the early 1970s and know the glacier better than anyone else. Enjoy the breathtaking views while they safely guide you down the only glacier accessible to intermediate skiers and backcountry novices in New Zealand.
Skiing on the Tasman Glacier is a classic Kiwi snow adventure guided by professional alpine guides. Explore New Zealand's largest glacier, its blue ice caves, and incredible ice formations while you link turns down our longest ski runs. We use aircraft to access NZ's two longest ski runs, each with over a thousand metres of vertical descent. The runs are easy to moderate (green to blue grade), perfect for intermediate skiers. The pace is relaxed, with time to soak up the incredible grandeur of New Zealand’s highest mountains. The trip includes 3 scenic helicopter runs, 2 ski runs (8-10 km long), a generous picnic lunch on the snow, safety equipment and professional ski guides by your side.
