Pai is a lovely destination in Mae Hong Son. Visit the highlights of Pai without having to stay overnight there.
Pick up by private car is at 7 AM from your hotel in Chiang Mai. Enjoy the beautiful views on one of the most scenic roads in the world with 762 turns which takes about 3,5 hours.
Arrive in Pai and visit the memorial bridge of World War 2. Climb about 300 steps at Chedi Phra That Mae Yen to visit the big white Buddha on the top of the hill. Admire the peculiar rock formations and cliffs at Pai Canyon.
Imagine yourself in China in Santichon Village and soak in the beautiful views at Yun Lai Viewpoint overlooking the valley of Pai.
Last stop is at magical Pai Walking Street, where you can walk around. Latest 4 PM we will start our 3,5 hours journey back to Chiang Mai.
- The road between Chiang Mai and Pai has many turns and takes about 3,5 hours one-way. On this day tour you will be about 7 hours in the car. Please prepare yourself in case you are prone to motion sickness.
- The driver of the private car speaks a little bit of English, just enough to communicate about the tour. Though it is not a proper tour guide.
- The size of the car depends on the amount of people booked. A standard car will be used for smaller groups, while a van will be used for bigger groups.
- Make sure you are dressed properly by temple standards to visit the temple: no bare shoulders, no bare knees.
- Thailand's rainfall is unpredictable, particularly during the monsoon season from May to December. Rest assured, the tour is guaranteed to proceed if conditions are safe, even in rain.
- Entrance fees might be changed by the owner slightly and are unannounced, this is out of our control.
- In the crop burning season from January to April, visibility might be less and is out of our control.
