Gyeongbokgung Palace
Enjoy a time trip back to 600 years at the "Palace of Great Blessing" ! The Palace was the first and largest of the five royal palaces in Seoul. It was built in 1395 and served as the main palace of the Joseon Dynasty. Take a leisurely walk around the Palace, hearing kind explanations by a professional guide.
There are old shops and hanok houses that have been keeping alleys for a long time. Along with the old feeling, it maintains the unique warmth and simplicity of Seochon, where sensuous and sophisticated spaces coexist. In particular, most of the 600 hanoks located in the Hanok Village in Tongui-dong are improved hanoks built in large quantities according to the housing plan since the 1910s.
Tongin Market
Tongin Market was established in 1941 and boasts a long history and tradition. Tongin Market mainly deals with a variety of agricultural and marine products and groceries such as food ingredients, fish, meat, vegetables, and food ingredients, and many people purchase fresh and diverse ingredients. There is a Yeopjeon Lunch Box cafe where you can purchase and eat various delicious dishes using Yeopjeon coin, a means of currency during the Joseon Dynasty. You can taste oil tteokbokki, gimbap, japchae, fish cake, cold noodles, and chicken skewers, and so on using Yeopjeon.
