With a journey through time, we'll be catapulted back to the Middle Ages and have fun with Mr Dante Alighieri, poet, writer, politician and even doctor!

We will walk through the city streets and together we will discover where Dante was born, read some tercets of his most famous poem, the Divine Comedy, draw his portrait and many games to learn while having fun!

Children of all ages are welcome but the activity is recommended for kids between 7 and 10!

You will have time to question your guide and take pictures, please know that this is a sightseeting tour. Entrances are not a part of this activity.

Hey kids, have you ever heard of Dante Alighieri? He's called the father of Italian language and is usually known for his famous "Inferno". Yes, he is that important and has been a very poliedric character to Florence. At the end of this tour, you will know all about him! The tour starts where young Dante was baptised, at Baptistery of St. John a peculiar building with an octagonal shape that sits right in front of the beautiful Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore. Around here, it's rumored, is where he used to stroll and sit and stroll, whilst looking for inspiration for his writings.

Duomo - Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore

The Duomo of Florence is an outstanding building that imposes itself over the viewer and you know why? Well you'll have to listen carefully to our guide, they're the one who will tell you the secrets behind such a design and purpose. Want to learn another secret? Try to guess how long it took to complete such a big building, in times when cranes were made out of wood and workers preferred to sleep on top of them because it was too complicated to go up and down!

Museo Casa di Dante

Following the narrow medieval alleyways, you will reach the place where Dante lived while he still was in Florence. Today this place is a museum dedicated to the life of this incredible person but in the XIII century is where the poet used to eat, sleep and even steal glimpses of his beloved, Madonna Beatrice. There's a small church hidden away in a back alley, that's said to be the place where Dante fell in love and has never forgotten, in his entire life, this dazzling lady.
