Figueres
Figueres is a city located in the Alt Empordà region, in the province of Girona, known for being the birthplace and residence of Salvador Dalí, one of the most influential artists of the 20th century. Figueres is famous for housing the Dalí Museum, which is one of the most visited museums in Spain. Monestir de Sant Pere de Rodes
At the top of the mountain range facing the sea, with fantastic views of the bay. The Monastery of Sant Pere de Rodes is unique in the world, with the crypt on the scale of the Vatican. The Monastery of Sant Pere de Rodes is a testimony to the power and spirituality of medieval Catalonia. Although there are many legends about its origins, one of the most popular maintains that it was built to house the relics of Saint Peter, brought from Rome during the persecution of Christians. Upon entering the premises, the first thing that impresses is its majesty. The church, with its central nave and two side naves, shows the sophistication of Romanesque art. Don't forget to admire the bell tower and the cloister, examples of the architecture of the time.
