The adventure begins early in Cusco, with pickup from the traveler’s accommodation to leave for Ollantaytambo. In the nearly two-hour journey, vibrant landscapes of the Sacred Valley cross: ancient platforms, living villages and rivers between mountains. Upon arrival, a representative guides the boarding by train to Aguas Calientes. After an hour and a half of traveling surrounded by lush nature, a team member escorts the visitor to the minibus that will take them on a final 25-minute ascent to the entrance of Machu Picchu. There begins a three-hour guided tour of passages that tell stories, reveal secrets and connect with the Inca legacy. Back in Aguas Calientes, there is free time to have lunch or explore the surroundings. Then, the return train leads back to Ollantaytambo, from where you take the final transport to Cusco, closing a day full of history, landscapes and emotions that will be forever recorded.

Cusco

The experience begins in Cusco with the pick-up of the traveler from their accommodation or a previously agreed point. By tourist vehicle, you start a journey of about 1 hour and 50 minutes to Ollantaytambo, crossing landscapes of the Sacred Valley: farm terraces, Andean communities and mountain rivers. Upon arrival at the train station, a representative provides personalized boarding assistance. Then board the train to Aguas Calientes, in a journey of approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. Upon arrival, another member of the team receives the traveler and guides him to the boarding point of the tour minibus. The final ascent, about 25 minutes by road, leads directly to the main entrance of Machu Picchu, where entrance checks are carried out before continuing with the scheduled visit.

As you cross the entrance, you begin a three-hour guided journey between stone walls, living history and speaking silences. The group will discover the most iconic spaces of the site, while revealing their secrets, hidden functions and symbols of Inca power. Each step connects to an amazing past. At the end, you will board the bus that leads back to the town of Aguas Calientes.

After the tour, in Aguas Calientes travelers will have a free space to have lunch, relax or get lost among its streets full of crafts, nature and local life. It is the ideal time to recharge or take authentic memories of the place. After this break, they will head towards the train station to start the journey back to Ollantaytambo, in a journey of approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes, surrounded by the majesty of the Andean landscape and the charm of the Sacred Valley at sunset.

Additional Information

With prior coordination, the exact location, date and time of pickup will be clearly established in advance, usually between 4:30 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. Passengers are requested to be ready with their luggage at the door of their accommodation at least 10 minutes before the indicated time. In addition, detailed information of the assigned vehicle and the driver will be provided in advance, who will be properly identified and will carry a sign with the passenger’s name to facilitate the encounter.

Tickets will be delivered in person to our offices up to one day before the start of the service. In order to collect, the customer must present his/her original identity card or passport. During the delivery, all necessary information about the itinerary, meeting points and important recommendations for the experience will be provided.
