Visiting the historic centre is a journey back in time, you will approach the most important ceremonial centre for the Mexicas and you will enter the largest Cathedral in Latin America built on the pre-Hispanic ruins.
You will see what the great Tenochtitlan looked like in its heyday.
You will contemplate the sign that Huitzilopochtli, the solar god of war, gave to the Mexicas to let them know where they should establish their empire. You will discover where the remains of the Spanish conquistador Hernán Cortés lie.
You will enter one of the most beautiful hotels in the centre, visit the Palace of Iturbide, Mexico's first emperor, as well as the famous house of tiles. You will learn about one of the most beautiful Opera Palaces in the world, the Palacio de Bellas Artes and visit one of the oldest bakeries in the city.
