Mindo might be the best option for contact with mother nature with a unique biodiversity in a valley of 20000 acres of protected land which is the ¨Mindo Nambillo¨ protected forest. Known for it extreme natural beauty that atracts visitors from all over the world. With some 570 different bird species innumerable amphibians, reptiles and mamal species aswell as a huge variety of orchids and other plants. This lovely small town and its valley are about 2 hours in bus from Quito at an altitud of 1250 mtrs or 4100 feet with a subtropical climate with temperatures of between 16 and 24c althrough the year.
Our tour is special, because it is a combined tour between amphibians, birds and adventure where they will live unforgettable experiences.

Day 1 | Quito - Mindo You´ll be picked up from your hotel in Quito by our guide heading North West you´ll pass the famous site of Mitad del Mundo. Driving along you´ll notice the change of mountain forests to the cloud forests of Mindo and its surrounndings. Arriving at Mindo you´ll be led to your hotel and later on there will be a night tour where a variety of frogs, insects and sometimes mamals can be observed, returning there´ll be dinner.

Day 2 | Birding Tour and Adventure tour, Leaving the hotel at dawn we´ll be taking the San Lorenzo Route, our guide will carry a birdviewing telescope a birdguide book and you´ll be able to see for example the tercina (swallow tanager), Gavilan Pollero (roadside hawk). Carpintero Guayaquileño (Guayaquil Woodpecker), Barbudo Cabeza Roja (Red Headed Barbet), Chestnut Mandibled Toucan, Tucan del Choco (Choco Toucan), Trogon Enmascarado(Masked Trogon), Quetzal cabecidorado(Golden Headed Quetzal). Arriving we´ll have breakfast and after that we´ll cross the Nambillo river by cable car and following the track down through the cloued forest getting to the waterfalls below from there we´ll get back to the hotel by pick thruck then back to Quito.
