In this experience, participants can easily make their own original trail food (Yamameshi). The ingredients for the trail food mainly include seafood caught locally in Samani Town, such as Kajika, an underutilized fish, and dashi made from the region’s specialty, kombu. The trail food making experience is taught by the mothers of the "Manma Association." These lively women are dedicated to preserving local flavors and are active both within and outside the town. Enjoy creating a one of a kind trail food, filled with the unique flavors of the Hidaka region, while interacting with the local mothers of the community.
