Nalaikh (Mongolian: Налайх) is one of the nine districts in the Mongolian capital, Ulaanbaatar. Once a coal-mining town, Nalaikh is divided into eight subdistricts, including Shokhoi, Arjanchivlan, Terelj holiday center, and other residential areas. It also encompasses a former Soviet military cantonment, complete with an airfield
In 1990, The Association of Believers of Nalaikh District named The Sain Nomun Monastery "Ulsiit Nomiin Khurden." Later, in 1992, as the Monastery expanded, Elder Lamas appointed Ven. Dr. Negrui Sainbuyan as the Bishop, leading to a relocation and a name change to Sain Nomun Monastery. The new facility's construction included religious studies for preteens in preparation for Monastery management. Sain Nomun Monastery engages in Religious Customs, Ministry, Secondary Education, and Religious Education, covering Philosophy, Humanities, and Creative Arts. Public meditation & yoga are also offered. The Secondary School aligns with Mongolian Public Education System standards, providing a holistic education focused on professional management and upholding traditional customs and morals.
