Soon after pick up at your accommodation between 8:30 and 9:30am we will take a scenic drive on our full day Cape Winelands shared day tour from Cape Town to Stellenbosch and Franschhoek.
Our first stop for the day will be at the unique DeMorgenzon wine estate (DMZ) in Stellenbosch. DMZ produces award-winning Chardonnay and has received awards for some of the best Chardonnay produced in the entire world. Situated 200 to 400m above sea level, DMZ vistas embrace Cape Town, Table Mountain, Cape Point, Cape Hangklip and Simonsberg. At DMZ you will find musical speakers strategically placed throughout the vineyards. DMZ believe that the vines listen to the classical music being played to produce extraordinary grapes.
After our first wine tasting, we continue to take a Stellenbosch town orientation tour. Home to over 200 award-winning wine estates, Stellenbosch is also the second oldest town in South Africa. Your tour guide/driver will share stories about the Dutch-style buildings/monumental houses as well as the world famous Stellenbosch University. Stellenbosch University is set amongst the Boland Mountains, provides a unique academic environment for students and enrolls more than 30000 students per annum.
