It is a sustainable activity, that helps the Sardinian artisan to make his work known and keep the traditions alive. It allows you to learn the method, put it into practice and bring home your own basket.

What's included in Build a typical Sardinian basket with your hands
(Subject to Option Inclusions)Once arrived in Dolianova, you will meet Gabriele. The artisan will accompany you in the countryside to collect the material suitable for the creation of your basket. Gabriele will explain the differences between the various materials to be collected, the cane and the wild olive tree, explaining when it is more appropriate to cut it. Then you will move to the place of work where Gabriele daily runs his business, handed down from father to son. The material collected will be treated, cleaned from the buds and cut into strips of different sizes. You will learn to weave the different materials between them, from the base to the handle. Thanks to the help of the artisan, you will have built and you will take home your traditional Sardinian basket.

Pickup and Dropoff
You can choose to be picked up from a list of locations, or alternatively, have the choice to make your own way to the meeting points
Please arrive at the pick up point 40 minutes before departure time.
Additional Information
The pick up and drop off from/to Cagliari is available from hotel in town, port and airport paying a surchage of euro 100 on the day of the activity. The pick up from holiday destination is available on request and the cost depends on the distance from the place where the activity takes place (Dolianova).

- You can take the bus to Dolianova from the bus station in Piazza Matteotti, Cagliari. The meeting point is at the bus stop in Piazza Brigata Sassari, Dolianova.
