Mamula Island, located at the entrance of the Bay of Kotor, is a circular-shaped island with a fortress built by austro-hungarian general Lazar Mamula in the mid-19th century. The fortress occupies around 80 percent of the island and served as a strategic defense during World War II. Today, visitors can explore the historic fortress and enjoy stunning views of the bay.
