Jonathan Dickinson State Park in Hobe Sound, Florida is home to the southernmost population of both the Florida Scrub-Jay and the Red-cockaded Woodpeckers. Bachman's Sparrow, Great Crested Flycatcher, Red-headed and Pileated Woodpeckers, Gopher Tortoises, White-tailed Deer, Raccoons, and Alligators can commonly be seen in the park. In the spring and summer, you might look out for Swallow-tailed Kites soaring gracefully overhead.

We'll be visiting the Jonathan Dickinson State Park both in the scrub and the pine forest habitats searching for the birds and wildlife that live there
