Our Favourites

Temple of Heaven: The Temple of Heaven is one of the largest architectural complexes for worshipping heaven in the world. It has two walls and is divided into the inner altar and the outer altar. The main buildings are in the inner altar, with the Circular Mound Altar in the south and the Altar of Prayer for Good Harvests in the north. The two altars are on the same north-south axis, separated by a wall. The main buildings in the Circular Mound Altar include the Circular Mound Altar, the Imperial Vault of Heaven, etc., and the main buildings in the Altar of Prayer for Good Harvests include the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests, the Imperial Hall of Heaven, and the Gate of Prayer for Good Harvests.

Prince Gong's Mansion: Prince Gong's Mansion is located on Qianhai West Street, Xicheng District, Beijing. It is a very well-preserved palace complex in my country. It is divided into two parts: the mansion and the garden, with the mansion in the front and the garden in the back. The palace covers an area of about 31,000 square meters and is divided into three roads: the central, eastern, and western roads. It consists of a multi-entry quadrangle courtyard with a strict axis running through it. The mansion is not only spacious, but also has a high standard of construction. The obvious signs are the facade and the number of houses.

Shichahai: Shichahai is located in the northwest corner of Beijing's inner city. It includes three waters, Qianhai, Houhai and Xihai (also known as Jishuitan) and the surrounding areas. It echoes the "front three seas" and is commonly known as the "back three seas". The alleys and courtyards of Shichahai constitute the customs and culture of old Beijing and the history of old Beijing. Along the winding riverside of Shichahai, irregular but densely woven alleys are formed. These alleys are built naturally according to the terrain.

Beihai Park: Beihai is located in the northwest of the Forbidden City in Beijing, backed by Jingshan in the east and connected to Shichahai in the north. It is an imperial palace built gradually during the Liao, Jin, Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties. It has a history of 900 years and is one of the oldest, complete, comprehensive and representative royal gardens in China. Beihai and Zhonghai and Nanhai to its south are important royal gardens in the ancient imperial city. Because they are located to the west of the Forbidden City, they were collectively called Xiyuan at that time.
