Meeting point is front of Kiasma museum, address: Mannerheiminaukio 1H (searchable on google maps). Kindly be on time at the meeting point. The drive up to the nature reserve is 50 minutes one way.
In Porkkala our walk begins on a forest trail leading to an open-rock area which is the first display of the many diverse areas. This area will give us the opportunity to see what effects coastal weather has on the nearby forest. Shortly after, we find ourselves with a picturesque coastal view. There will be picnic tables to have a break and fill up on a prepared lunch with dessert. While the lunch is prepared, you can explore the nature or relax by the Baltic Sea. After some free-time exploration and lunch it is time to head back to civilization refreshed from this wholesome nature experience. -- In total, you will spend around 3 hours in the Porkkalanniemi nature reserve, including an hour lunch break. Total walking distance is approx. 2.5–3 km.
