We'll be looking forward to having a break for lunch at one of the numerous picturesque venues along the way. Alternative sites of interest, such as Llanbadrig Church loaction of the Pabo stone and the subject of the Marian Conspirac. and Llanbadrig Church Cemaes, allegedly established by Saint Patrick can be preferred locations instead of Beaumaris and Penmon.

Itinerary

St. Cybi Church

A Church with origins to back in the 6th Century within the confines of a 4th Century Roman maritime fort. Site of a Welsh Prince's burial, famed for the Marble tomb of Lord and Lady Stanley and the Pomegranate Stained Glass Window.

Trearddur Bay Beach

Travelling some 20 minutes along the rugged Holy Island coast road, see coves and one of the finest beaches anywhere. A spectacular coastal location with a perfect arc of golden sand. A Modern day Celtic cross marks the site of an ancient burial mound which once had a church atop. On a sunny day see the British spend the day on the beach or maybe see the wild white water when the storm rages.

St Cwyfan's Church

Traveling approximately 35 minutes we will arrive at the ancient village of Aberffraw , ancient site of the Princes of Wales whos pre 10th Century palace lies destroyed somewhere under the current village and sands. See the remarkable 12th Century Church marooned on its own island. One of the most photographed churches in Wales. Site of a religious revolt that eventually led to the Welsh peoples puritan and Non conformist religious makeup. We also view Saint Beulan Church. Coffee Break if venue open.
