● Discover the Hatchery: Take a self-guided tour of the 141,000-square-foot facility and learn how over 4 million sport fish are raised each year. Explore the grounds and watch salmon navigating their way up the creek to the waterfall.
● Ship Creek Experience: Feel the excitement as anglers reel in salmon from Ship Creek! Watch fishermen clean their catch, rent gear to test your luck. Visit the Ulu Factory to see traditional knives made, and more.
This adventure concludes back to our Visitor Center with memorable stories, newfound knowledge, and perhaps a souvenir.

Begin your salmon adventure by meeting us at the Log Cabin Visitor Center in downtown Anchorage. Our friendly guide will welcome you and provide an overview of the day’s activities.
Port of AnchoragePass-by Only
Viewable during our tour is the Port of Alaska! As we travel by learn the significance to the Alaskan economy, and the types of goods that pass through our waters.
Stroll along the creek and witness schools of Alaska salmon navigating against Ship Creek’s currents. At your own pace, step inside the hatchery to discover the meticulous process required to nurture over 4 million sport fish annually.
