A day to discover Ait Benhaddou’s ksar, the famous UNESCO World Heritage site, and many other hidden pearls of the Moroccan architectural landscape. After leaving Marrakech, you will follow the Tichka road and reach the village of Telouet. You may hire a local professional guide to visit the beautiful Telouet Kasbah, or proceed through the narrow pathways on your own, and enjoy a traditional meal in the village. You will arrive to Ait Benhaddou following small rural roads across the beautiful Ounilha valley, with its many oases and Kasbahs. You may visit the ksar or the entire village with a professional local guide or on your own. The way back will be on the Tichka road between Ouarzazate and Marrakech.

The route will unfold across the Atlas Mountains, crossing the spectacular Tichka pass (Tizi n'Tichka) at 2260 m.
Set outside the Beber village of Telouet, the kasbah was part of the former caravans route connecting the Sahara and the major cities passing across the Atlas Mountains. The kasbah, built between the 18th and the 19th century, was the seat of the El Glaoui family's power. The site can be visited autonomously, but we recommend exploring it with a professional guide (locally available, not included) to discover all its secrets.
We will reach Ait Benhaddou passing across the Ounilha valley. A UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987, Ait Benhaddou is a majestic example of Moroccan earthen clay architecture along the former caravan route between the Sahara and Marrakech. The site can be visited autonomously, but we strongly recommend exploring it with a professional guide (available on site, not included).
