Itinerary

Chard Farm Winery

At Chard Farm Winery, you'll drive down one of the most scenic and dramatic vineyard access roads in New Zealand. As you approach, the audio guide will share the history of Chard Farm’s pioneering role in establishing Gibbston’s wine identity, along with details on its unique location perched above the Kawarau River. At the cellar door, you’ll have the opportunity to taste their renowned Pinot Noirs and learn about the distinct terroir that shapes their wines.

Rockburn - Cellar Door

At the Rockburn Cellar Door, you'll be guided to a welcoming tasting room set within the bustling Gibbston Tavern precinct. Your audio guide introduces Rockburn’s award-winning Pinot Noirs and cool-climate varietals, while sharing the story behind the label’s name — inspired by the rugged Central Otago landscape. Inside, you can enjoy a curated tasting experience showcasing wines that reflect both purity of fruit and winemaking finesse.

As you arrive at Cox’s Vineyard, your audio guide shares the story of this boutique, family-run vineyard known for its minimal intervention winemaking and sustainably grown Pinot Noir.
