You will meet your Blue Badge guide just outside Westminster Abbey in the City of Westminster, and you will begin to discover the history behind this breathtaking Gothic style church, located just across the road from the Houses of Parliament. Instead of wasting time in long queues, you can benefit from skip-the line access and quickly start your discovery of this incredible church, a London icon and the setting for countless royal events! Your children will be enthralled as your guide brings history to life with intriguing anecdotes about many of the famous British historical figures who are either buried or commemorated here The Abbey has been the site for the coronation of all English and British monarchs since that of William the Conqueror in 1066, and is the final resting place of 17 kings and queens as well as notable figures such as Isaac Newton, Edward the Confessor, Charles Dickens, Geoffrey Chaucer, Dr. Samuel Johnson and Charles Darwin. Making history fun for the whole family, your guide will see to it that you discover all the most important places in the church, such as the Lady chapel, which is burial place of King Henry VII, the Coronation site, where Queen Elizabeth II was crowned in 1953, Poet's Corner, the place where poets, playwrights, and writers are buried and commemorated, the 700-year-old Coronation Throne, the Tomb of the Unknown Warrior, the spot where Prince William and Kate Middleton were married in 2011, and many more famous sites.

Right next to the Houses of Parliament stands Big Ben, possibly the most famous and recognisable of all London's landmarks. Although the name actually refers to the Great Bell in what is now known as Elizabeth Tower, it is commonly extended to include both the clock and the tower itself. The clock was the largest in the world when it was installed in the middle of the nineteenth century, and is still the largest in Great Britain!
