Step into the World of ‘Der Blaue Reiter,’ Munich’s Iconic Expressionist Movement, on a One-of-a-Kind Guided Tour. On our tour, we’ll paint the buildings we’re looking at—right in front of each of the three highlights—using watercolors on postcards. The pre-printed postcards are perfect for both beginners and advanced artists. We begin at Piazza Zenetti and dive into the history of the former cattle yard district. From there, we visit the Münchner Volkstheater, where colors, materials, and design take center stage. Next, we enter the local street art scene at the Beginner’s Wall — a space where Munich’s graffiti culture comes to life. We will continue our discovery at Bahnwärter Thiel, an extraordinary venue built from 40 shipping containers, all decorated with vibrant graffiti. We wrap up the tour at Alte Utting — a spectacular café and bar on a repurposed ship high above the city. Even The New York Times featured it, asking: “Is Munich getting cool?” YES, it is! Depending on whether it is open or not, you can enjoy a coffee or snack here, or stroll along the Isar River back toward the city center.
