The first stop of the day is the Château de Chambord; A perfect example of French Renaissance architecture, this remarkable edifice was built by King Francis I between 1519 and 1547 and is the largest chateau in the Loire Valley. Who designed this masterpiece is still in dispute, and with contenders like Leonardo da Vinci, his views certainly won't disappoint.
Then, the charming Château de Chenonceau, a real fairy tale castle picturesquely located on the Cher, its history and its character have been shaped by the women who lived there. Site of France's very first fireworks display, Chenonceau is truly a favorite.
The last stop will be at the Château de Cheverny, a 17th century beauty very tastefully furnished and with marvelous gardens. Enjoy free time for lunch (not included) during the day either in Chenonceau or Chambord. You will be back in Paris in the evening.
