Urban Bicycle Tour in Tartu
An urban bicycle tour led by a landscape architect—a fresh and dynamic way to discover the city!
We'll use bicycles to explore the picturesque and thought-provoking sites of the city. The tour maintains a moderate pace, adaptable to the group's abilities.
Please note: This tour requires the use of bicycle. You can use yours or public bicycles, available for an additional fee. You’ll need: smartphone with mobile internet and a bike ticket (2 or 5 euros)
The tour spans 2.5-3 hours, including leisurely pauses. Throughout the tour, we'll admire contemporary architecture and street art, immerse ourselves in street life, and uncover the urban spaces and nature of Tartu while delving into the past, present, and future of Tartu. In total, we'll pedal approximately 8…10 kilometers.

We’ll meet at the TU Library front door. Guide will share here public bikes usage and riding safety guidelines. NB! Please arrive at meeting point around 10 minutes if you never used city’s public bikes.
Vaksali is cosy low-stored area between the center and the railway. We’re going to see renovated railway station and its square, the Vaksali bridge and tunnels (one of the most photographed insta-places in Tartu) and couple of award-winning places.
Aparaaditehas
The Widget Factory is local Creative City, where art, creative businesses, street events, urban nature and some nice restaurants meet around human-sized courtyard. We’ll make a stop here for looking around. Also you can visit small art galleries and book store here.
